We are youth-led. Our team is made up of young people with lived experience of the issues we fight against. We are not just staff; we are members of the community we serve.

Deji Adeoshun
Founder & Director
Deji is the Founder and Director of Account Hackney, leading our strategic development and long-term vision. With a deep commitment to youth empowerment and systemic change, he steers the organisation's growth and ensures our work remains rooted in the needs of the community.

Yolanda Lear
Director of Programmes
Yolanda steers our strategic vision and organisational growth. As a founding member, she has guided Account Hackney from a small project to a nationally recognised organisation, always keeping youth leadership at the centre.

Emmanuel Onapa
External Affairs, Research and Campaigns Manager
With over seven years of experience in media, journalism and research, Emmanuel Onapa is our external affairs, research and campaigns manager, having led on both qualitative and quantitative research projects from their conception to completion. He has also worked to build solid partnerships with organisations and high-profile stakeholders across the sector, ensuring that Account works across the intersections of advocacy and social justice.

Thaddeus Brown
Comms and Media
Thaddeus leads our communications and media strategy, ensuring that the voices of young people in Hackney are heard loud and clear. He manages our digital presence and storytelling, amplifying our campaigns for justice and accountability.

Yasmin Tayane
Social Media & Marketing
Yasmin drives our social media and marketing efforts, connecting Account Hackney with the wider community. She ensures our message reaches those who need to hear it most, building engagement and visibility for our crucial work.

King Illunga
Outreach, Performing Arts & Podcasting
King leads our creative outreach through performing arts and podcasting. He uses the power of storytelling and media to engage young people, sparking conversations and building community through art and dialogue.

Aaliyah
Political Education Lead
Aaliyah leads our political education programmes, designing workshops that empower young people to understand and challenge systemic injustice. She equips our community with the knowledge and tools needed to advocate for their rights and build collective power.

Jesse Kwasi
Community Advocate
Jesse is a dedicated Community Advocate, working directly with residents to address their concerns and build stronger neighbourhood connections. He champions the voices of the community, ensuring that local issues are brought to the forefront of our advocacy.

Luba Musa Eiggie
Community Advocate & Partnerships
Luba specialises in building strategic partnerships and advocating for community needs. She works to connect Account Hackney with like-minded organisations and stakeholders, ensuring that our collective efforts lead to tangible, positive change for local residents.

Khallum Caller
Outreach and Workshop Facilitator
Khallum is a dynamic Outreach and Workshop Facilitator, dedicated to engaging young people through interactive sessions and community presence. He creates safe, energetic spaces where youth can connect, learn, and express themselves freely.
